Tiger Woods’ planned return to golf at the Masters drew plenty of criticism from the international press, and the most scathing comments came from Britain. Daily Mirror columnist Oliver Holt questioned the top-ranked golfer’s reasons for coming back to...

Did you ever wonder how Greg Norman makes his car payment each month without playing on the Champions Tour? I’m guessing he squeezes by with whatever he can grab from Great White Shark Enterprises, which includes: The Greg Norman Collection, Greg Norman...

My fantasy leagues are ruining my joy of watching golf. Oh sure, everything would be great if I could pick the winners each week, but I'm in the same pattern I get in every year...the first week I do great, then comes the slow and painful decent down...

Murcar Links Golf Club: Even golf trips eventually take on their own singular identity. By the third day of 36 holes (two rounds each day), our tired limbs were telling us that our walking 12 miles a day, up and down dunes (that seemed like mountains...

Have you ever heard your PGA or LPGA golf instructor say to you, "Hold the wrists... Set the wrists... Release the wrists?" If so, this video is for you.

Yes, battery life is a big concern for me, even though I've read a lot of posts saying that they haven't had any trouble playing 18 holes on a single charge ... I've spent most of my initial "ramp up" time learning about setting up courses (which is very cool, see below) and such, so I haven't studied the power saving tips...

Get out there and golf so we can see how this thing works!! I read somewhere else that some apps take a lot of juice from your iphone - is that an issue? How much does an iphone cost? We're getting a cold snap for a few days, but I don't think there is any snow coming - I have my fingers crossed that I may be golfing before my trip to Nashville...

$20 total ... therein lies the allure, especially since I already have the phone ... in fact, I disqualified any apps that required a subscription (of which I only listed one above) ... I have no illusions that this will perform (from a strict GPS standpoint) as well as a dedicated device ... however, the up-front and recurring costs are much lower...

  • Majors Only Fantasy Golf!!

So after lamenting on my blog this week about my struggles with fantasy golf I find an interesting response to it in the comment section. It suggested that I might have better luck trying a Majors Only fantasy golf league. At first I thought maybe it was just a ploy to drive me insane faster , but I checked it out and it looks like it could be fun!...

Congratulations! So in reading above, are you saying this "app" only cost $20, total? Or is it $20 per year? (I know nothing about iphones) Either way it seems like a very good deal! Looking forward to reading a review! You're making me want to have a GPS.

  • Tiger's press conference a dig at Accenture

On February 17, Tiger Woods announced he'd be holding his first press conference since his accident in November. It so happened to be the same week as the Accenture Match Play was going on, an event sponsored by a company that used to pay Woods hefty endorsement money. When the infidelity news hit the presses, Accenture decided to dump Tiger. The...

Okay, I bit the bullet and bought ProCreative Golf 10 ... they had two features that tipped the scales in their favor ... (1) they specifically indicated that they cached course info so that you didn't need internet access on the course ... (2) they had a nice club distance tracker (others have this also, but I like the way they implemented it)...

Based on the reviews in the app store, it would appear that Greenfinder has faded away ... it's still available for purchase ($35), but it hasn't been updated in almost a year (compare that to the programs in my list above), and the few recent reviews that I could find were not flattering ...
