D.A. just completed a two-week swing in Hawaii playing in two Champions Tour events, finishing seventh in both. As many of you know, in addition to playing golf, D.A. has a very successful golf course design company, so when he returns to Dallas we put him to work rather quickly. Though he was a little bit jet-lagged, there were several new projects that required his attention.
We are getting ready to break ground in May on the first of a 36-hole complex in Forney, Texas, called Windmill Farms. Windmill Farms will initially be an 18-hole layout as part of a 4,000-acre master planned community, of which there are already approximately 2,000 rooftops completed.
In addition to Windmill Farms, there are three other projects that are underway which cannot be announced quite yet, however, we hope to announce them in the next two weeks. One is a major renovation of a resort golf course and should take place in the spring of this year. It is something that D.A. has a very close relationship with and should be one of our finer projects.
In addition, there are two other master plans that have been completed by the D.A. Weibring Golf Resources Group and we are waiting for the owners to move forward on the actual construction of the project. One is a private country club in the southwest part of the U.S. The other is on the Eastern seaboard. Both are very nice facilities with which D.A. is closely associated.
In addition to these, we have other smaller projects that are in the planning or construction stages. We do a lot of renovation as well as full golf course design. So, you can see that we don't let D.A. rest.
We have also been very involved with the Native American community designing several very successful golf courses in conjunction with casinos and other development projects. In addition, we have been working diligently on developing a base of business in Asia. Our firm has completed two courses in Japan; one with golfing legend Byron Nelson. We're excited about the prospect of doing more in Japan, China and Indonesia in the near future.
D.A.'s back next week in Boca Raton, Florida on the Champions Tour and will report to you from there.
