World Golf Ranked number 1 Tiger Woods has not won a PGA Tour event in over a year and had to rely on a wildcard pick from U.S Ryder Cup Captain, Corey Pavin, and there is nothing to suggest from his recent form that he will have a great Ryder Cup.

There has been a great weight of American expectation on Woods' shoulders in past Ryder Cup Golf Tournaments, he has not gelled well as a team player and has not played anywhere near his true golfing ability in past contests. I just have this gut feel that Woods is going to play really well at this year's match at Celtic Manor, when most people will be expecting him not to do so on this occasion.
Woods' Ryder Cup record is not over inspiring and it is easy to see why he is a difficult player to partner in the foursomes, having lost 2/3s (6 out of 9) of the foursomes matches he has played in to date. The world golf ranked #1 has delivered a very average 10 points out of a possible 24 points in the matches he has played in.
I believe with his personal problems perhaps behind him, the freshness of not having played in the Ryder Cup for 4 years, as he was out with injury in 2008, and less pressure being on him to deliver for the U.S Ryder Cup team, he could have a great Ryder Cup in Wales.
