My biggest problem is my 3 wood off the fairway. I seem to get some progress actually trying to cut the shot. Also I may be changing my plane angle but not sure how to detect this cause. Any suggestions?

Look in a mirror and swing back. Straighten out the right knee and see how it tilts you forward. Secondly people try to pick up the right shoulder (kind of like trying to overrotate) at the end of the backswing. Anything that contributes to a reverse pivot is a "death" move.

Another way to consistently hit it thin is when the left arm gets active and tries to collapse or chicken wing and you come through the ball. This tends to pull the hands up. This is one that a lot of people have problems with because they are hitting at the ball rather than swinging through the ball.

for helping me with my long iron game. Would you believe the first week after a picked up one of his tips,

I had my first hole-in-one ever!!!! A 4 iron from 170 yards at my local golf course. Im quite sure that would not have happened had i not watched that tip! Thanks again Stuart.....you already have made a difference in my game. John

works better for me if putting more than 30 feet from the cup. Stroke depends upon speed of the greens sometimes.

Mclane and other top teachers also teach the first move is a sliding forward of the hips. If you look carefully you will see that rotating hips first causes the shoulders to also rotate and this will make you swing across the ball. Look in golf magazine and see the players face-on shots at impact. Hips are generally about 45-50 degrees to impact line. If you rotate hips first, the hips will be about 90 degrees and shoulders will be across target line.

Thanks, Stuart!
