I have a brand new Odyssey White Steel 2-Ball SRT if you want it. I didnt like because I like a traditional look. I won it in a tournament. 125 bucks, retails for 185. The 125 will get my entry fee back, hahaha! Its yours if you want it.

    Re: RE: Putters

I agree with the traditional look, I have always used an anser type look and I will never turn from it. Tiger uses a newport 2 style since he turned pro and if the best player to ever live goes that way, there must be something to tradition.

I own a few Scotty Cameron putters and have been thinking about building a collection. Would like some suggestions on where to go and who to deal with. Thoughts?

    Re: RE: Putters

    This is a tough one.

I got started by a buddy that knows quite a few tour players. These guys get all kinds of equipment through the year and sometimes due to contracts they can't play the club or they just do not like the items, so my friend gets alot of the equipment. In turn, so do I!:w00t:

My first Scotty Cameron gave me the fever! Now, any Scotty item that is unique is very enticing to me.

There are a few sites out there that sell vintage Scotty Cameron putters and items, but you have to be very careful that they come with authenticity. All the putters that I have all have certifications of authenticity from Scotty Cameron.

Ebay is filled with putters and very cool stuff from Scotty Cameron, but just be sure the seller is on the up and up and that you know its real Cameron!

I suggest that you begin with an item you can afford and build from there. Get something that you like at first and be sure you decide to play them or collect them. I am very weak and love to show off the good stuff, so I have ruined the worth of a few. If you can be sure you can keep the plastic on  the very valuable ones or atleast keep them under a few rounds you can build a very nice and expensive collection. Just be sure your wife says its ok before your purchase a 2002 Scotty Cameron Newport 2 TW for a few thousand. Its tough to explain why you bought a putter for that much.

    Happy hunting for Scotty!

    Re: RE: Putters

I own 3 different types a White Hot #5 a Never Compormise VOODOO and a YES 'Callie'

Out of the 3 I seem to lean towards the YES for the feel. It's weight is close to a Scotty without the price and I seem to be more accurate with it (might be the C-groove  stuff..).

When there are days that I just cannot seem to drop putts, I'll go back to my #5, which helps me get back into focus and touch more.  The VOODOO I got after I attended one of the ESPN 3 club training lessons, It works OK (not as much as the other two), but something about the look does not feel right at address for me. But my buddies are always razing me about the clubs I keep changing to.. it's not the wand that makes the magician, But I seem to do better, just trying to come up with the right combo.  (We'll see)
