    Golf Shopping

I know most of you probably don't enjoy internet golf shopping as much as I do (hey, it's winter and I've got golf fever!) - but there are some good sites and great deals out there if you are looking for some good golf stuff.  Of course I personally recommend shopping locally, too - but sometimes the selections can be limited at smaller shops.

I found this site today - http://www.discountgolfworld.com/   Decent prices and lots of brands...but this deal is pretty cool - you can get $20 off a purchase of $75 or more if you send in a logo off of an old golf bag...not bad!  Details here.

Also, I've purchased a few things at www.budgetgolf.net - good prices, some decent sales, free shipping on some items, and GREAT customer service!  Both things I ordered shipped the same day I ordered and were at my door within a few days.

And you'd be surprised how many local pro shops have sites that will hit on a google search - I'm contemplating a couple of purchases right now!

If you have a site that you like, I'd love to hear about it - Happy Shopping everyone!

You might look into ProQuip USA too.  They have some great golf apparel for bad weather like rain and snow.  They have men's, women's and junior wear too.  I've had some good success with them.

I'll toss two sites into the mix ... and I'll be sure to check out the others in this thread as well ...

www.austads.com ... I get their newsletter and watch for sales ... not the lowest prices, but a good selection and they've been around for a very long time so you can trust them to treat you right ...

www.3balls.com ... these guys are huge on eBay (that's where I first found them) ... they sell used stuff too!

If you're not having fun, lower your standards.

I almost bought my lastest putter from 3ballsgolf on Ebay, but ended up with a different one - good prices and good auctions.

www.golfballs.com is showing a pre-order for the lastest interchangable shaft clubs from Callaway - you can see the details here

Also, www.golfetail.com has some men's etonic shoes on sale for $40 - seems like a pretty good deal - here's the link

    Happy Shopping!!!

Golf Galaxy is having a big on-line sale right now!  check it out here: www.golfgalaxy.com

For some reason I really want to buy more golf shoes because the prices are just so good, but I bought 3 pairs in December that I haven't even worn yet!

You can get a small Callaway golf bag for $50!   Some of their apparel items look good, too.

Check it out and bring your credit card! Smile

    Re: Golf Shopping

So last week I get an email from The Golf Warehouse (www.tgw.com) with their weekly sale...the last thing in the world I need is more golf stuff, but I was feeling a little mopey, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to just browse the sales just a little...right away I find this really cool Ping Sweatshirt, and it's only $25.40!  That seemed like such a good deal...but I really don't need it.  Then I find rain gear is on sale...I really could use a nice jacket, so I find a decent set and it's only $60!  Saving over 60%!  They are now sitting in my shopping cart, but I can still close the browser and walk away - I know I should.  But then, without much thought I look at the shoes - Footjoy's - black & white...and they have my size...this I REALLY don't need...but then the strangest thing happened...my credit card just leaped out of my bookbag and said sales like this should not be ignored...plus I get points on my credit card - it was a weak moment - and before I knew it I had a receipt in my email.  Still good sales at www.tgw.com - maybe you can find something you "need", too!

PS-when you go to their site you can sign up to win Adams clubs.

    Shop Away!

    Re: Golf Shopping

My golf items arrived!  Very speedy shipping from www.tgw.com - it shipped the same day I ordered - and only $5.00 shipping for everything.  Not a bad deal at all.  One note about the Ping Sweathshirt...I was expecting a softer material - but it's more textured and not as stretchy as a traditional sweatshirt- but it's still nice.

    Foot Joy's are awesome...and only $50.00.

www.golfetail.com has an Adidas short-sleeve windshirt for only $34.99.  It looks nice, but I won't be buying anything more for awhile...I hope.

     http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/apparel.html

Rock Bottom Golf is having a great apparel sale!  Polo shirts for only $12.99!  I have never heard of Firethorn apparel, but the shirt looks nice - and only 13 bucks!  WOW - other name brand shirts are less than $20 (the Ping shirt for $18.99 looks really nice).  And there was one shirt for $9!

Also some great prices on Foot Joy shoes - very limited sizes, but if it's yours, it might be worth the buy!

I hope someone can take advantage of these great prices - I promised my credit card no golf purchases in April.

    Happy Shopping!

    Re: Golf Shopping

Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later...I get an email today selling the Crocs golf shoes.  UGH.  These shoes seem to be everywhere, but I cringed when I saw that they are golf shoes now, too.  Maybe I'm the only person on the planet that doesn't have these things (and I hear they are very comfortable), but they just seem so, well, strange looking.  Do we really need to look like gardeners on the golf course?  My love for golf shoes (especially Footjoys) takes away any desire to consider something like this.  The Footjoy sandals are great and comfortable if you don't want a traditional shoe.   I love golf shopping (and especially golf shoe shopping!), but these will never be on my wish list. Golf Crocs

I know that there are a lot of Scotty Cameron fans and collectors out there - I've seen putters on Ebay going for more money than I would pay for a whole set...but I ran across this putter cover that was made for this year's PGA - $72 for a putter cover!  WOW - I guess you have to be a real fan...

    Re: Golf Shopping

It's December 1, and that means it's officially Christmas shopping time!  Yippee!  For some of us it's always shopping time, but sometimes during the holiday season you can find some pretty good deals out there.  I was searching for a pair of FootJoy's that I got last winter and it brought me to several golf shopping web sites...I thought I would share with you some info on the sites in case you are shopping for golf gifts, or would like to send along web sites to your family or friends so they can get YOU something good!  (Everyone is selling Pro-V's for $39.99 right now so if you need some check out the free shipping sites!)

http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/  (a Chipshot award winner!) - this site has some good deals out there, but often are closeout or older models so selection can be limited.  They also run specials all the time so it's good to check back often to see what coupon codes are available - sometimes it's a discount on your whole purchase, freebies with purchase, or free shipping.  Currently 15% off site wide.

http://www.3balls.com/ - right now there are some really good coupon codes on this site (click on the deal tab and then look on the right side) - free shipping on several items for a $50 or more purchase (shoes) or free shipping site wide (in the US) for purchases over $100...some really good deals out there and really great search options.  3balls also does a lot of Ebay auctions, so you might want to check that out before buying on the site.

http://www.austads.com/ - 15% off site wide (see restrictions) on December 1 only - shipping is $6.99.  Okay sales, but nothing jumped out at me.

http://www.golfballs.com/ - offering free shipping over $75 in the US - haven't really found great prices there, but they do a ton of free personalization from balls to hats, so if you're looking for something special this might be the place! (they are also still doing their daily giveaway of a dozen Callaway black golf balls through 12/31)

http://www.discountgolfworld.com/ - free shipping on December 1 and $5 off any purchase of at least $30.  Decent selection and some good sales.

http://www.tgw.com/ - $5 flat rate shipping - always have sales going on, but thought we might see some free shipping from them.  (lowest price on the shoes I want so far!)

http://www.budgetgolf.net/ - another site I like - $5.99 flat rate shipping.  Some decent closeout deals (but limited selections) and you get $15 gift card for spending $75 and $30 if you spend $150.

http://www.golfgalaxy.com/ - $4.99 flat rate shipping - a little disappointed with their sale items and limited selection on some items.  (but I always stop at their store when I am in the Twin Cities!)

http://www.golfsmith.com/ - $5.99 flat rate shipping - some OK sales but no holiday specials yet.

http://www.carlsgolfland.com/ - free shipping over $75 (excludes Ping).  My first visit to this site - it was a bit hard to navigate at first, but I found if you went to "manufacturers" on the left side you could find the most items.  Some OK sales (on some shoes) but otherwise your general golf shop.

http://www.pgatourstop.com/ - free shipping over $75.  Didn't find any great sales, but if you sign up for their mailing list I think you might get a $20 discount coupon code.

http://www.thegolfcollection.com/ - more of a golf gifts site...no shipping deals but a couple of neat items for the golfer who has most things.  Might actually buy the golf cribbage board there.

http://www.edwinwattsgolf.com/ - $5.00 flat rate or $10 2-day air.  Nothing really super sale wise but depending on what you are shopping for it might be worth a look.

http://www.pgasuperstore.com/ - $5.95 flat rate US - but a $5 handling fee for purchases less than $50.  No super deals here either - some club closeouts that might be decent.

http://www.golfetail.com/ - nothing super so far on their site - no shipping deals and no coupon codes.  They do have an email sign up that may get you some special pricing.

I'll be checking things out in the next few weeks since I'm going through golf withdrawal right now and if I find anything good, I'll let you know!  Happy Shopping!!
