Who is going to take down Tiger now?

Well, to my surprise another player has called out the world number and has stated he has the best chance to challenge Tiger Woods. This is beginning to get annoying to say the least and to see this coming from such an upstanding and true professional like Adam Scott I am appalled.

I can understand younger non-experience players saying they are going to be the best and I expect idiots like Rory Sabintini to say he will take Tiger, but for Adam Scott to say this is just not right. I thought he was smarter than that. Hey Adam, it’s going to take a lot more than a 61 at Qatar Masters to even sniff the Tiger! Fantastic round, but c'mon you tour pros should do that every once in a while, you play for a living!! It doesn’t mean you are a Tiger tamer now.

My suggestion to every player on the earth is to back off the talk of taking down Tiger. Its completely pointless. I read in another post on the site that if you divided Tigers World Rank he would be the number 1 and 2 player in the world, that’s too funny. No one is going to challenge him, no one is going to be #1 until Tiger quits, so all you other players stop this non-sense and get back to playing for second place and if don’t want to I will, the money spends just as good as first place cash!

I don't think anyone will "take down Tiger" until he is close to 60 years old.  The guy is just that good.  He has everything working.  The only thing that will finish his career is if he quits.  We do have some really fine golfers that can challenge him occasionally, but that is actually rare.  I like Tiger, he is a good man.  But I honestly look for someone else to shine.  Causes me to loose out on the fantasy game.  But I enjoy the game anyway.  Now, even Adam admitted that no one would beat him consistantly.  So, Adam Scott doesn't really expect to "take down Tiger" himself.  He really means that he thinks that he will beat Tiger at his game on occasion.  And Rory is just nuts.  I don't think he could be dominant on the LPGA.

I think you have to believe that you can beat anyone (including Tiger) if you want to be successful on the big tour ... but I'm not sure it's very smart to say it to the press ... Adam's best chance at beating Tiger is to keep quiet and hope Tiger doesn't notice him, but that would seem to be out of the question now ... there is no doubt that Tiger thrives on competition, and Mr. S has just given him a little nudge ... considering that Tiger looks as dominant lately as he ever has (which is certainly saying something), I'd say it's not likely to be a close FedEx Cup race this year ...

If you're not having fun, lower your standards.
