2008 Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Another week and another dollar and hopes for the scrubs to gain some ground on the PGA Tour money leaders. This event has to be fun! Why more guys don’t play it makes me crazy...food, sprits, music, casinos and a city that is in revival. You can’t beat it!The limited field will be tough to pick but the Goose looks like he is back and Tim Clark and Cink will make my top three picks... Get in and bring it...brag'n rights on the line!

Does this mean I get the field?? Smile  Okay, even though I really want Cink, and of course you picked him, I'm going with 3 guys that I think can be steady and maybe even pull out a win here - Steve Stricker (it's SO great to pick him again!), Padraig Harrington (for the Irish in me), and Jim Furyk (I think he's ready to go low this week).  I thought about quitting with my 5-5-1 record, because I haven't been behind all year so far and I don't want to now, but beating you is such a pleasure that I can't help myself.  Good luck!!

I just checked the results for the Zurich Classic and I see that Padraig Harrington came through for me!  I didn't have a chance to watch any of the golf over the weekend and figured I was a goner because Stricker and Furyk both missed the cut and I saw Clark was making a serious move on Friday.  Thank you Paddy!!

I forgot to ask...how did Cink get DQ'ed?

Cink was DQ'd for signing an incorrect score card. Apparently he stood in a bunker to play his ball lying outside the bunker and hit his next shot into another bunker. He then raked the bunker he had been standing in before he played his ball out the greenside bunker he hit into. Basically this was thought to be testing the ground in which he was about to play from even though it was another bunker. He was still testing the ground in a bunker. This is a 2 shot penalty. Rule 13-4a testing the condition of a similar hazard. Since this was a day prior, he signed an incorrect score card.Very cut rate, it’s not even the same bunker, but I can see that all bunkers may have the same consistency.
