No, not Woods like in the Tiger man, WOOD the stuff that actually does grow on trees. 

The wife and I visited our local par three for the first time this year after several warm up visits to the driving range.  This particular course has very narrow fairways bordered by towering hardwoods.  The man at the desk encouraged us to take our time and hit some extra putts.  Turned out he was being more prophetic than kind.  While our range time helped us to hit the ball well; we had totally ignored our putting.  Fortunately the greens were very slow from a morning mist so our errant shots didn't stray far from the cup.  Dis-heartening as that was we had a great time.  The course was relatively busy and we were entertained by the other groups.  Incessant is the word that best describes the assault on the hardwoods around us.  Well hit balls constantly resulted in well hit trees.  The Thwack!, Thwack, Thwack was as comical as the resulting search for lost balls in the leaf cover must have been frustrating.  Still, laughter was abundant every where.

Another thanks to the Tees 2 Greens staff.  My "Gettin' the Shaft" arrived yesterday.  Now the fun really begins!
