2008 BMW Championship Bellerive Country Club, St. Louis, Missouri

I am soo happy that I made the right choice picking Vijay to win the Fed Ex Cup!

Yeah , I know there are a few ways he could lose this thing, but I doubt it. It would be hard pressed to see anyone win the last two events, no one has the drive and passion like Vijay. The only other guy who cares is Sergio, but you can tell he even thinks its out of reach.

So in light of this I will TIVO the Cup and watch football all weekend. Sorry PGA Tour, but without Tiger and the Fed Ex all but done with, NFL and NCAA gets my vote this weekend!

Round 1 of the BMW will not be played today due to heavy rains in the past 24 hours and more scattered showers coming the rest of today. (Darn that hurricane!!)  Round 1 will start Friday morning and then 36 holes will be played on Saturday (playing in 3-somes and not re-pairing after the 2nd round is completed). Here's the scoop: http://www.pgatour.com/2008/tournaments/r028/09/04/livenotes.firstround/index.html  I was looking forward to listening to a little golf on the internet today!

Since it seems like I might be the only one that still cares about golf in September, I've decided that I needed to read a little more about the last two tournaments - while the Fed Ex Cup looks pretty locked up, the race to get in to the Top 30 could be interesting - reading the "Field Study" on pgatour.com, all 70 players in the BMW actually have a chance to break into the top 30 - obviously some are probably longer than longshots, but there are quite a few players that can do reasonably well and bump up.  The top 30 is full exemption into 2009 and several invites (especially the Masters!) - so I would think it's going to be interesting for some of these players...I'll be watching tomorrow online and hope to catch some over the weekend if I'm not on the course myself!

I agree, Chip ... except for the fact that they're playing a cool course in my back yard, the only compelling reason to watch this weekend is to follow the guys trying to get into the top 30 ... but with the weatherman calling for sun and 70's here I may not get to watch very much Cool

If you're not having fun, lower your standards.
