Sam R. Swanson III, a native of Galesburg, Illinois, is a 1976 graduate of Southern Methodist University and a veteran of the Dallas real estate and development industry. His specialty is working with clients in finding quality golf course properties and integrating them into real estate developments. He learned his real estate skills at the prestigious Henry S. Miller Company where he sold development land and trained investment properties.

Mr. Swanson is responsible for the company’s business development activities. His valuable experience in working with real estate developers and municipal governments, along with his understanding of golf course operations, property acquisition and marketing, is an important aspect of the team concept at the company.

A skilled amateur golfer with a five handicap at Dallas Country Club, Mr. Swanson has been a long-time friend with Mr. Weibring dating back to their early years in Illinois, and continuing when both settled in the Dallas area in the seventies. Swanson is a founding partner of D.A. Weibring/Golf Resources Group in 1987.
