Woo hoo!!  Another toy to prove just how inaccurate I am!    Can't wait to see it in action!

Ok, so yesterday was the first real chance I've had to use the Diablo woods.  I did use them during league last week but we played the back nine, so I only used each one once.   I really liked the way they felt so I was excited to use them yesterday at Spring Valley.  They rock!!!!   On one of the par 5's, I ...

I was only able to get out once this weekend (yesterday - what a beautiful day!) and I took my Guru along for the ride.  We played a course I'm fairly familiar with (Spring Valley) so it was interesting to compare yardages.  For the most part, the Guru was relatively the same as the yardage markers, however, it one case, my drive was ...

  • Re: NAIA Qualifying Event Controversy

I have to admit that I had not heard about this event.  However, in reading your comments, I'd have to say I agree with you.  Especially with your last paragraph.   Golf has always been for me simply a game I love to play.  It is a constant personal challenge and has taught me a lot of life lessons - patience, ...

Cathy, I'm with you on the whole cell phone thing.  I just had to replace my phone this last year (I still had an analog model!) and so I actually had to get a phone that takes pictures because you can't just get a plain phone anymore.   My daughter (who used to work for US Cellular) was so happy that I finally had to ...

You played golf on Mother's Day????  Your wife must have been in a really good mood still from vacation.  :)  And yes, I think the Guru yardages were really good.  Of course, it was my first time out this year and I was playing with rental clubs but all in all, I'd say they were right on.  There are a lot of ...

  • Re: Golf GPS

Another update on my Guru 4.  Took it with me to Mexico and used it on one course.  I loved it!!   It's easy to use and carry around.  Easy to add your own marks to it if you plan on playing a course more than once.  It's a touch screen so no buttons.  It does come with a stylus but I just used my ...

Update on my Guru - customer service did, in fact, add the two courses that I had requested to their course list.  I'm going to Mexico on vacation so I think I'll download the courses that we're going to play there so I can practice with it.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, sad to say you were right.  The shoes were too narrow so I sent them back.  Just received notification of my refund (minus a small restocking fee) today so I appreciate their good customer service.  Guess I'll have to save shoe shopping for when I can actually try them on in person.    I love my new golf bag, ...
